A Tatuí, revista de crítica de arte com versões online e impressa, surgiu, no Recife, em 2006, a partir do encontro de críticos de arte em formação. Seu primeiro número, em forma de fanzine, foi concebido durante o SPA das Artes (evento anual de artes visuais da cidade), sob a ideia de uma crítica de imersão, experimento de crítica de arte que pretendia não se vincular à concepção de distanciamento crítico.

Nos números seguintes da Tatuí, modificaram-se as intenções editoriais. Com outra configuração de equipe, a revista – mantendo seu caráter de independência, experimentalismo e pluralidade – tem proposto debates aos quais se agregam colaborações diversas cujos conteúdos alicerçam um observatório acerca da arte hoje produzida, em especial, no Brasil.

Com apoio do Fundo Pernambucano de Incentivo à Cultura – FUNCULTURA, a versão online da Tatuí ganha autonomia diante dos números impressos, durante um ano publicando quinzenalmente conteúdo inédito disponível também em inglês.

Tatuí, an art magazine with online and printed versions, emerged in Recife in 2006 at a meeting of rising art critics. The first number, in fanzine form, was conceived during the Arts SPA (annual event of visual art in the city), with the idea of an immersion criticism, an experiment of art criticism which did not intend to be linked to the conception of distanced criticism.

In the following numbers of Tatuí, the editorial intentions were modified. With another configuration from the team, the magazine – maintaining its character of independence, experimentation and plurality – has promoted debates to which was added diverse cooperation and whose content was founded on observations of art as produced today, especially in Brazil.

With the support of the Pernambuco Culture Incentives Foundation – FUNCULTURA, the online version of Tatuí has gained autonomy. During a year, we will be publishing fortnightly original content available also in English.
